Imari-yaki refers to porcelain shipped from the port of Imari in Saga Prefecture, closely related to Arita-yaki production. Distinguished by its lavish overglaze enamel decoration in red, gold, and green known as kinrande style, Imari ware gained immense popularity in 17th- and 18th-century Europe. The ornate polychrome patterns depict flowers, phoenixes, and landscapes, embodying the opulence of Edo-period craftsmanship.
